A cleansing session by techniques as detailed in traditional Hatha yogic texts will be followed by meditation and a revitalizing session of asana and pranayama to boost pranic energy flow through the body leads up to Surya Namaskar: welcome of the rising Sun.
Breakfast with Herbal tea is prepared as per constitution and season. Theory classes elaborate the physical practices that are undertaken and the scientific rationale applied to them. Theory of yoga, its philosophy, and therapeutic science; applied Ayurveda and its understanding of its methods to enhance your everyday life are the core subjects.
Lunch is lovingly cooked with team involvement and the cooking methods explained to understand the individual characteristic and inherent quality of the ingredients being used. It is enjoyed at the peak hour of the Sun to utilize the fiery energy for good digestion. The primary purpose of a feeling of togetherness and a sense of community with other participants makes the meal complete and nourishing to every kosha-body sheath covering the range from the physical to the astral body. Every meal is special with the application of the principles of Ayurveda and grandmother’s tips.
Post lunch relaxation, the astral plane is engaged through Yoga Nidra practice. The mind’s ability to assimilate further information is enhanced through a sharing, interactive chat over evening tea, termed ‘chai chatsang’. Most evenings are planned outdoors -be prepared for asana or meditation at the banks of Mother Ganga, or simply walking in quiet through a forest. This will prepare you for a gentle goodbye to the Sun lowering in the skies. Early dinner followed by chanting or singing of hymns will gradually merge the mind with the hour of dusk as birds return to their nests and the moon takes center stage in the sky. Mauna(silence) is encouraged an hour before bedtime to quieten the mind and it will be followed by a nightly ayurvedic routine with a short meditation to allow the mind slip into sound sleep.
